The issue:
A local developer had obstructed access to a station in the north-west of England by erecting fencing across the access road. This was obstructing access for emergency vehicles and the public.
We were instructed by a major train operator, West Midlands Trains, to help them ensure that the fencing was removed and that it would not happen again. They had already tried to remove it themselves, but the developer just put it back up again, and became aggressive.
How we helped:
We obtained and served a court injunction at very short notice. The culprit backed down and there have been no repeat incidents.
