The PLA is a professional membership organization for lawyers which was established in 1995 for legal professionals specialising in all aspects of commercial, residential, and agricultural property litigation. It plays a crucial role in campaigning for improvements in property law and the court system, while also providing its members with opportunities for education, training, networking, and resources to support their well-being.
Matt’s practice encompasses all aspects of commercial, residential and agricultural property disputes, including disputes concerning landlord and tenant relationships, boundaries, adverse possession, easements, ransom strips, trespassers, development contracts, restrictive covenants, nuisance, village green registrations and property-based professional negligence.
Speaking about his appointment, Matt Pugh said:
“I am truly honored to have been chosen to serve the property litigation community in the north and I am excited to get to work alongside my fellow members to deliver an exciting programme of training as well as social and networking events in the region. I am also looking forward to getting to know my fellow property litigators better. There is some exceptional talent in this region and I am sure that we can all benefit from sharing our experiences and ideas on a regular basis. The relationships forged in this way often lead to more sensible approaches in litigation, benefitting clients”
